Crit

Below is my first mock-up of my folded leaflet. I am pleased with the result however there is still a lot of work to do in the way of layout, content and illustration. Overall though I am happy with the square fold I've created. I feel the fold is representative of my design process, as a concertina fold suggests a very linear structured process which is not what I do. I tend to go back and forth between ideas, which is  represented as circle within a square. From my summer brief on sacred geometry, a circle within a square represents unity.

In this mornings crit, I gained some really constructive feedback. It was suggested to me that I think about experimenting with colour or pattern in the inside of the leaflet (like a burst of colour). Also, I've decided to experiment a bit more with my illustrations, the ones I have at the moment I feel are way too crisp/clean and don't have any  of my personality about them which is what this brief is about I think. I will experiment using fine-liner pens or perhaps a thicker line like a sharpie. Another suggestion was too experiment creating a sticker/fold or something to hold down the square fold to open up.
